Please give the output from
Code:
tail -f /var/log/messages
when you execute pppoe-start
open 2 terminals, one for each command

Yes repo, I executed as you assisted, I got following messages..

Since the card works, when you connect via the Windows XP machine., the card should be OK
Perhaps you can use
http://tldp.org/HOWTO/DSL-HOWTO/tuning.html#TROUBLE
Verify the settings in windows and linux

If you can't get it working, I would suggest to start a new thread for the pppoe problem.
Give as much info as possible, distribution, brand of networkcard, error messages, which modem...

Hi, make sure u have enabled DHCP support for ur interface connected to modem,I think ur interface may be eth0 then cat the contents of
