not a plain text file

Hi there

I am trying to pull a file from an ftp server onto my Redhat 9.0 Linux machine and receive the following error : not a plain text file

I have tried to zip(unsuccessful).

I dont know what to do. Please could someone help me please.

This means that it's not a file but a directory. If you don't have access to the ftp server so that you can zip it, you can either change to that directory and use "mget" to get all the files in it (of course give "prompt off" before so that you don't have to answer yes for every file), or use the command "wget" to d/l the directory recursively.
