Question Normal Login "error"? (at time of this having security issues)

I am new to Linux. In the last week, I have noticed this upon login (this is from /var/log/boot.log) as I don't use a splash screen.

fsck from util-linux-ng 2.17.2
/dev/sda5: clean, 186372/5865472 files, 5553130/23451136 blocks (check in 2 mounts)
init: Failed to spawn network-manager main process: unable to execute: No such file or directory

 * Starting AppArmor profiles Skipping profile in /etc/apparmor.d/disable: usr.bin.firefox

[ OK ]
 * Setting sensors limits
[ OK ]
I am referencing the AppArmor portion as I have never used/configured AppArmor and I have been having issues with spam being used in my email (from both Linux and Windows box). Reference:

does this seem normal to have shown up without me doing anything with AppArmor?

It appears that you have a default installation of AppArmor with default profile. It would be a good idea to use Ubuntu's control panel to start AppArmor and look over the default profile. You may want to change one or more settings. Open a browser (whatever Ubuntu provides) to use to research items in the AppArmor config as you peruse the AppArmor profile. The google link filters out most non-linux returns.

I would be more concerned about this:
init: Failed to spawn network-manager main process: unable to execute: No such file or directory
You may want to try, in a terminal, the dmesg command to see in you get more information about the "Failed to spawn" error, or try "tail /var/log/messages" which will display the last 10 lines of messages. You can increase the line count with "tail -n XX /var/log/messages" where XX is the number of line to display. Note that you have to be root to see the contents of /var/log/messages. So, run the tail command with either su or sudo: sudo tail -n XX /var/log/messages.
