Hello all,

I am very new to this forum. Also a learner (beginner)to linux, just wanted to know the basic commands that can be initiate from command prompt

i.e. shutdown,reboot & logout

Commands run in what we call a shell or terminal. There are many shells and terminals available. The more common one is bash. Get a boot on bash maybe.
