Noobie at connecting Windows XP to Linux


I want to connect to computers the main computer that is connected to the internet only has Windows XP and the second computer will have both Windows XP and Linux Red Hat also i already have connect the seconded computer to the net but not really sure on connect it on Linux. Any help will be grateful.

How are you connecting to the other computers? ( wireless, ethernet)

i did the same thing i am using Fedora i got a driverloader im using wireless as soon as i opened the web browser it connected i dunno but it some how configured itself.

anywayz thats me .

I have connect my two computer with two network cards and a Crossover wire.

Hi,

You could install Sygate HomeNetwork (or Office Network) software on the windows XP machine. On your Linux Box you set the WinXP box as gateway and DNS server (or use the DNS of your provider) and all should work automatically.

I do believe you'll have to use static IP adresses for your internal network because the DHCP service provided with the software can only be understood by Windows machines. They could have fixed that issue in the meanwhile.

Help

As well as help on the above question i also want to know if its possible to put all three cds Red hat 9.0 in to one DVD.
