noob with a noob question

I am trying to load mandrake 10.1 community on my computer. I have all three cd's imaged and I put in the first one to boot up. It gets to partitioning and then if I choose the default an error comes up saying "fatal: no hdlist nor synthesis to read for installation cd 2) So I figured I would put in cd2 but the cd rom doesn't open. So then I go back and try to partition myself. WRONG! Still doesnt work except its prolly more messed up when I try to partition myself. Any help woudl be great. BTW I already have XP Pro loaded on the computer.

The burn was bad. Thank you for that link. It gave me some other ideas in case it happens again.
