I think the solution to this one is also staring me in the face, so excuse my tired stupidity..

I have 140 users with roaming prfiles, all running nice on Samba 3 and XP Pro systems (it can be done)

I would like to set up 3 logins Year1, Year2, year3

Basically 10 students in each class will use this login to map thier drives and have a nice wall paper and thier icons etc, could be anywhere in a school

what i don't want ot happen, is when they logout, for XP to save thier settings.. baasically all i want them to do is to download the profile, and each time they login, despite how many icon they move, and produce on the desktop, they will alsways see a nice default destop...

Is this as easy as i think it is but can't work out?

I think the solution for you is to make the 'profile' directory only readable and no write access.
