Unhappy Nokia phone modem is hanging in RHEL 5

I just installed RHEL 5 in my laptop. I tried to connect my nokia C5-03 mobile as modem in ovi suite mode, for mobile internet. When i am selecting as mass storage, the device is detected fine. But at the moment i selected OVI suite mode in mobile, RHEL hangs as it. Nothing works except forced shutdown and i have to retart my pc. But i dont have any issue in windows on that phone as i am connecting thru PC suite. In RHEL 5, first i need to check whether the modem detects, but my PC hangs. Any ideas..
