nokia on slackware
Hi all!
I have a Nokia 6260 but my Slackware 12.0 doesn't recognize the phone. I'd be glad if you can help me. I'm using KDE 3.5.7 if this will help you! |
You will probably need to reconfigure your kernel to have usb modem support. I haven't used the huge kernel in a while, but I recompiled to support my k610 about to weeks ago. I remember I had to add several modules, one of them was called usb modem, you will need some ppp modules (included in huge as far as I remember). Anyway, there are plenty of tutorials out there on the great web :)

Hi
Not sure if its on slackware, but on Ubuntu I found a piece of software called Wammu that automatically detected my nokia 5200 and allows me to do practically anything I want see if there is anything in the slackware repository that can do the same, it might work right out of the box too Hope this helps |
Thank you for your posts. I forgot to say that I'm using an usb cable :D . I tried with obexftp and the program recognizes the phone but when I try to connect to my nokia I get:
