Talking noatun in kde


i know we cannot play mp3 in xmms untill we install that mpg plugin,but what to do to play mp3 in noatun and video files in xmms.
i have tried smpeg from various sites but they give eror on installing

noatun is rubbish, just don't bother with it at all.
