No Volume groups found in CentOS-5 boot-up but works in USB caddie but not in PC

I have installed & configured successfully CentOS-5 on my USB 250gb SATA HD. I decided to remove the drive & install it directly into my Fujitsu RX-100 blade PC. However now the SATA HD does not find any Volume groups. If I put it back into the USB caddie it works! Any ideas would be appreciated.
