No such file or directory

Hi all,

I just installed Mandrake 10.1.

Now I'm trying to get Rosegarden up and running.

But it's freezing when it starts.

After looking around, I found out that if I type in the shell(?)...

$ rosegardensequencer
I can get some information about its status.

A "No such file or directory" error appears.

So, I installed additional multimedia software.

But it didn't fix the problem

Basically I'm stuck and without a clue.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Don't bump your post -- it will be automatically bumped if no one answers you.

What file did it say was not found? Can you post post a few lines of output above the "no such file or directory error? There's not really enough info in your original post to go on.

I've been on other forums and seen 'the bump'.

But I never really knew what it was.

Until now that is.

Whoops! Sorry about that.

In the meantime, I've managed to get rid of the problem.

I had to install some software (i.e. ALSA).

Now I have another problem.

But I'll use another post/thread for that.

Or I might even try and use my brain again

Thanks anyway.
