Hi all
I am a newbie to linux. a little history. I am 60 yrs young and started using Dos, went to windows 3.1.1, to windows 95, to windows 98 to windows xp and now to ubuntu8.4. Its a rough change over. So far I like ubuntu. I have been able to fix most problems thru forums. I have not been able to fix this one. (trouble) no sound, I have an XFXgeforce mcp78 mobo. It has the realtek alc888 codec. video is nvidia. I have worked on this for 3 days now and no success. I can use the term but dont know what to look for most of the time. can anybody help solve this problem Thanks in Advance Teggrr
