Question No sound with DVD movie on AMD board

Hi,
Last month I bought an Asus A7N8X Deluxe board with Athlon XP2600+ CPU. I installed SuSE9.0. Configuring of the on board sound card , nForce2 AC97 Audio Controller (MCP), has no problems. CD sounds is normal. But DVD movies doesn't work: no sound, only screen play. Configuring of the ALSA daemon has no effect.
What could be the problem?

/etc/modules.conf:
# Alsa sound support.
# Warning: please don't modify comments over aliases 'snd-card-#'
alias char-major-116 snd
alias char-major-14 off
options snd snd_cards_limit=1 snd_major=116
options snd-intel8x0 snd_ac97_clock=0 snd_enable=1 snd_index=0 snd_joystick_port=0 snd_mpu_port=0x300

The sound system may be in use by another application. I had this problem and it turned out to be Amarok in the tray was holding the sound system hostage.

type fuser /dev/dsp/ to see what is using the dsp.

I solved the problem by upgrading to SuSE9.1. But then I had to remove some RPM's from KDE.
Thanks
