Thumbs up No sound Realplayer after Xmovie.


I used xmovie and after that realplayer has nosound despite I closed xmovie .
another application may be using sound device.why?

Probably, xmovie is not closing properly. Try a) updating xmovie to the latest version, b) 'kill `pgrep xmovie`' (those are slanted ticks around pgrep xmovie - upper left of keyboard). That may need to be done as root, though. Simpler, however, if you use KDE, is do Ctrl+Esc, then select anything labelled xmovie and click 'kill'. You could also try using other media players such as: mplayer, kplayer, kaboodle, etc.
