Angry No Sound on Zorin OS 15.2

I have an HP ENVY 24-n014 All-In-One Desktop PC - Intel Core i5. It runs on win10 when I got. Then I installed Zorin OS 15.2 alongside. It looks and works great, except that when I boot it in Zorin, there is no sound . I tried several troubleshootings without success. I found this post online https://itsfoss.com/fix-sound-ubuntu-1304-quick-tip/ I tried all 5 methods listed; still cannot get the sound to work.

This is the Sound Device Info when I boot it in windows:

On Zorin, when I run "~$ lspci -k | grep -A5 Audio" in the terminal I get the following output but no sound:

00:1f.3 Audio device: Intel Corporation 100 Series/C230 Series Chipset Family HD Audio Controller (rev 31)

I don't know what zorin uses.

Do you have the mixer turned up? And unmuted.
Are you using alsa or pulse?

alsamixer, may be in alsa utilities, amixer, and pavucontrol

Quote:
Kernel modules: snd_hda_intel
That has worked fine for years.

I use Pulse. The volume is unmuted and turned up. Please see screenshots ( both with speakers and headset)

I have similar problem with HP ENVY 17. No sound with ZorinOS15.2:

jari@jari-ENVY17:~$ lspci -v | grep -i audio
00:1f.3 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation Device 9dc8 (rev 30)
It looks it finds the audio controller by the lspci, but it is not enabled somehow.

jari@jari-ENVY17:~$ amixer
amixer: Mixer attach default error: No such file or directory

There seems not to be found the input/output device any more (in windows10 mode the sound was working).
This is possibly related to the system update also, since in ZorinOS15.0 this worked and now with ZorinOS15.2 it does not seem to work.

If you get it working, then notify to me also...
