No sound in browsers?

I've tried everything I know to do ,but I can get the browsers to make sound on flash sites. O.K., I have P.C. Linux 2007 installed. I have sound from the program. I have sound when I play CD's. I have not checked internet radio yet. I have downloaded and installed "lame" as recommend in a forum for PC Linux. And I have installed using RPM the current flash update from Adobe. Please help me figure which way to go now. Thank you, wizvac

It would be far better to list everything that you have done so far, that will save old ground being covered.
