no sound
 

I'm on knoppix and my sound doesn't work. I'm using the onboard soundcard for asus k8v se deluxe....any help's appreciated.

Have you run K Menu -> KNOPPIX -> Configure -> Soundcard configuration?

I ran it, found out that I don't have the driver for my sound card, and downloaded the driver.

When I tried to extract the driver, it said that the file didn't exist. Again, I'm competely lost on what to do...
