Unhappy No shortcuts on desktop when installing some programs

Hello,How can I get some programs to start when afther installing them,There is no shortcuts for them on the desktop? Some programs are like that, Like "XASTER". I use UBUNTU. They are installed,But no desktop shortcuts,And no shortcuts inside the folder with the files. RICH is my name.

You can create a shortcut by pressing ALT-F2...Hope that helps!
