No secret key found - KGPG?

After a fresh install of SuSE 8.2, upon start up I got a message that says...

Welcome ot KGPG.
No secret key was found on your computer.
Would you like to create one now?

What is KGPG and what are the implications of this message?

Thanks in advance!

it wants you to create a pgp key pair for mail and file encryption. even if you dont use pgp it won't harm anything.
