No Repositories Available to Set Up.Nothing to Do
Hi,
I'm learning Linux for my RHCE, for that i've installed the RHEL5 server edition for 32-bit x86,and in installlation process i didn't check the software develepment and web server option ,and my installation works fine ,but there is some problem when i try to use Yum for installation like the following Code:
[root@localhost ~]# yum install mysql Code:
[root@localhost ~]# yum install mysql |
No Repositories Available to Set Up.Nothing to Do
sounds like you are using RHEL5 with out redhat network support and this is illegal but there are ways to get and you need to work around that
but with out rhn support you cant do any more but some ways are there instead of using rhn repositories you can use cent os repositories , I hope this link will help you click here |

Open source does not always mean free. In the case of RHEL, there is a free clone (CentOS) which is built using the RHEL source code.
What you pay for with RHEL is support (this includes the redhat network mentioned earlier) If you bought the CD, I'm sure they will be able to give you the CD key. Most Linux distros are available free---go to http://distrowatch.com for a description of each one. |
