No power options in Linux Mint 13?
Hi, I am running the new Linux mint 13 on my Dell laptop. When I close my lid, it goes to suspend. I can't find the option to change that. In the old Mint, I can type in Power in the search and it has an option to change the settings. So where is it in the new release? thank you

Normally, if you installed MATE, you should have an icon on the right side of the bottom panel -> right click/
preferences or similar.

I forgot I posted this question, nobody responded. However I found it, it's in with the screen saver settings called Power management. I hope this thread helps someone else that's new to it like me :) Thanks for replying.
Oh yeah, it's there too when I right click the power icon and select preferences. Thank you.

Screensaver solution probably best for desktop users
I read about the Power Management icon solution in the bottom right-hand corner (what Windows users would call the systray, I'm assuming), but that's probably only an ideal solution for laptop users since it appears the PM icon is designed to hide unless a battery is present. Desktop users will probably find access to the power management settings to be easier via the Screensaver option as the original poster outlined.

Thanks for the tip! Now I can watch some South Park without having to jiggle the mouse every half-hour.
