No Network card but I need Linux source

I can install my driver for the ethernet controller but I need to have an internet connection to run the Ubuntu Synaptic package manager to get the Linux source. Its a chicken and egg situation, any suggestions how to work around this?

Also a big hello to everyone as I am new to this forum and Linux as well!

Just download what you need with the operating system you (obviously) got Internet and burn it on CD/DVD, put it on a USB stick or something like this and just mount it under Linux.
