Angry No Need = Recent Documents!

I am using fedora 8 and i don't want to use the recent documents link, i mean that it's very unsafe for me, as it openly shows my used files.

So please tell me any way of getting rid of the "Recent Documents".

Thank you.

Well - what are you doing then, if it can't be seen in daylight? And don't you have your own user account?

I take it you mean either KDE's or Gnome's recent documents list - in that case take a look at KDE/Gnome documentation on how (or if) it's possible to set the items number to be displayed to zero, or just hide the feature. I'm actually not sure how it's achieved, but if it for example was a directory where symlinks are created to the docs you use, you could just make that directory unwritable (thus possibly creating errors)..however, even if there is an ugly way to do it like the one I mentioned (as an example -- probably it's got nothing to do with reality), I suggest you read the docs and find out the "preferred way" to do it. First check KDE's Control Center, or on Gnome check GConf options..

well if the "matter" would have been to be seen in daylight, then it wouldn't have been my concern! ain't it?
And yes i have an user account and fortunately i am the administrator also, but when you have younger brothers like mine then you cant feel good about your PRIVACY!

WELL
Jokes apart, I have gone through the GNOME documentation as Mr. b0uncer suggested but found no help!
Although i haven't Googled about the problem yet!
Hope there is a answer to it!
But still i would like to have any suggestion from the LQ Family Members!

Thank you!
