No loop#


Hi!

I'm trying to mount a ISO image to ba able to watch a movie without actally burning it to a CD or DVD.

#mount -o loop -t iso9660 /home/peter/myfile.iso /mnt/iso

But i only get a error...

mount: Could not find any device /dev/loop#

I have googled it but cant find any solutions that make sense to me....

have you tried opening it in mplayer or xine? is it a dvd iso? if it is on ur hard drive, then what are you trying to mount?

I think it's a DVD ISO. When I try to open it with Xine I get a Xine Engine Error telling me that there is no demuxer plugin availiable. I thought that either you have to burn the iso file to a disk or mount it to be able to reach those files within...
