Angry no login prompt in telnet


hi !!!

I am using linux Redhat 8.0 from past few days i am unable to telnet to my
linux server. I get the usual kernal banner but no login prompt.
Tried installing telnet rpm but of no use
I cant even telnet to local host ( 127.0.0.1)
