No lease failing- stuck on black and white screen(cannot play games or anything)HELP
 

Hi

Please can someone please help me i feel like i have lost my ps3 altogether i am installing a cd called Linux for the ps3 fehodore or something like that dont know how it is spelt sorry, i cannot load my ps3 or games anymore i am stuck on the black and white screen with the 2 penguines at the top and is saying:

debug, sending discover
debug, sending discover
debug, sending discover
dont understand action 'leasefail'
info,no lease,failing.

Also said before the disk is too small but not saying that anymore, i have tryed restarting my ps3 by holding my power button down but comes up with the same thing please please help i am really stuck now and getting worried.

Yikes! I'm certainly no PS3 expert but if that happened to me I would make sure it is connected to the internet. If the lease it's talking about is a DHCP lease you should make sure it can get one.

The internet connection could potentially download needed software to get the unit working again via the disk you put in it. Otherwise, check the PS3 manual and see if you can do a system restore!! Or perhaps use a disk that came with the PS3. Or maybe you can download it?

If you haven't figured out how to get out of that and back to play games till you can get internet just hold the reset the power button. I just restarted it and held my finger on it and wham it goes back to the ps3 system. No need to throw it away.
