no KDE headers installed?

I'm still working on my installs where I had the problem where ./configure couldn't find x includes. Now that is all set but I'm getting this error:

Quote:

checking for KDE... configure: error:
in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!

help?

I'm using kubuntu 5.04

No need for the help anymore, I solved the problem on my own by reinstalling/installing some missing kde libs I needed, but all with the help from a few google searches :)

hey,

for the sake of saving us those google searches, can you put the key urls and .debs, and perhaps even some basic instructions here...

cheers

Since it was a couple days ago I don't have the exact details but I used kynaptic to install anything that looked like it could be related to the missing files that are shown in the error message, as well as some
Code:

sudo apt-get blah
in the terminal, where blah was the file name/package (no extensions, although if you're unsure you should google "sudo then the file" to see what exactly you need to put. I'm unsure but I only think the sudo code works with debian/ubuntu, if i'm wrong please do correct me). I pretty much just had to play around with installing some libraries that the application i was installing needed to run.

sorry I can't be any more exact then that, as I am also a noob learning new things every day, and even though it seems tedious and aggravating to go through all those google searches its well worth it in which it helps you to be able to solve some problems on your own, and it teaches you a bunch of stuff.
