No Internet with Fedora 10 - Dell Vostro 1510

Hey all:

I'm new to Linux and running Fedora 10 on a Dell Vostro 1510 notebook.

I've been looking for two days now on where to find a concise way to configure my internet on Fedora 10, but I've come up with nothing.

It doesn't recognize any internet (wired or wireless).

Also, half the time when I boot, the keyboard and mouse are completely dead (no toggling of capslock light).

Any help at all is appreciated.

Please post the output of "/sbin/lspci" and "/sbin/ifconfig" and also "dmesg|grep eth".

It definitely sounds like a driver issue. Have you tried running "yum update"?

No - I suppose that updates the drivers? Will that work even if I'm not online?

Again, I'm very green to Linux...

Whoops. No it won't work if you're offline. You may want to try another distro's live cd just to see if it's possible to get working. Ubuntu (I really hate to say it) should work. If it does then at least you can rule out hardware failure. You may also want to try the new Fedora 11. Hopefully it has the drivers you need.
