No Internet Connection At Login

I installed SuSE 9.2 last weekend and everything went fine except for my Internet connection. I initially resolved the problem by going to Roaring and downloading their RP-PPPoE package which walks you through steps to setup your DSL connection.

This worked fine as well and I established a connection. However, I discovered that every time I login, I have to run that script to re-establish my connection. Is there any way to establish a permanent connection that will be established upon logging in to SuSE 9.2? I use SBC Yahoo DSL.

You have to put a script in /etc/init.d/ for the program to run at startup. I'm not an expert in dsl (use cable), do you have to authenticate every time?
Chances are that you already have a script ready to do the job. Look at the package you downloaded and see if there is one. Maybe its just a matter of setting permissions.

I do have to authenticate every time I login. I haven't the slightest idea how to write a script for this but I'll check when I get home. I just ordered A Practical Guide To Linux by MarK Sobell and I can't wait to get it.
