No internet connection at Fedora 5

Hi!

I've just installed Fedora Core 5. I also made that on two other computers and there was no problem to get the network to work.

But now with my own computer it wouldt work, I have a "D-Link DGE-528T Gigabit Adapt" that is plugged in the computer. I have the drivers, but it sais it just supporting kernel2.2 and 2.4, I tried to use both but I just get hundreds of errors on compilation. And the motherboard drivers doesnt't work either (its a ASUS P5PL2).

It finds the D-Link when I look in network connection and it have the status OK, but also IDLE. So how can I create a working Internet Connection?

Fedora has a 2.6 kernel.

So get a driver for 2.6 kernel from Net and install it.
It must not be difficult if the driver is available.
