no hard drive

hello,

I was going to format my linux partition and start over this time using Debian Sid because I wanted to keep a log of every single change I made to the system. After removing my linux partitions from windows and making new ones (using Partition Magic), I try to install using debian-installer. Everything works fine until it comes to the Partition screen. There it says somethiing to the effect of:

No partitionable media found
Cannot find partitionable media. Are you sure a hard drive is connected?

I can't figure out what's wrong? Any ideas?

Bug in the installer, partitionmagic partitions not done properly maybe. A couple of ideas have you tried to manually partition the drive with the option to use cfdisk that exists in the installer I forget exactly where it is now it has been awhile since I tested it and do you have a knoppix disk if so you may want to boot with it and use either cfdisk to partition then format the partitions or for graphical use qtparted to partition and format the drive it works great then try the installer with the drive partitioned and formatted with linux tools.

ok, i found the problem. I was telling the installer to install unstable. It appearently only works with testing.
