YES, Great Success!

I managed to load xfce GUI!

Now, the problem is that I can´t access the Internet. It seems this issue has something to do with the previous inability of being unable to "apt-get" anything from the text mode. So far, everything I get is from the installation CD.

How can I get the Internet working?

I would suggest to start a new thread for this problem.
Give all the information
distribution, which card, wireless, wired, ifconfig, .....
router, modem....

we've been trying to point him to a networking issue in both threads now... but hey what can ya do..
