no eth0 at slackware

i have just installed slackware. but when i try to use my network card it is not there. ifconfig does not show eth0 and when i ping i get "network is unreacheble" is there a way to install the eth0?

Is the driver for your network card loaded? You can try modprobe to load it.

FWIW, if you want to rerun the net setup stuff, all you have to do it type "netconfig." It's a lot faster than reinstalling the OS.

Amen ;)

Many people just take quite a while to rid
themselves of the Microsoft solutions. The
big three RE's

re-boot
re-install
re-ach for valium ;)
