"No driver found" message while installing rhel

Hi All,

I have RHEL 5 in my dell laptop(1545 inspiron series). It worked quite for sometime. Erroneously i have deleted the /var and /tmp partitions. So, it got stuck and not entering into linux. So, i logged into windows and deleted all the linux partitions and tried to install RHEL 3. When booted thru first cd,it is entering only text mode when i tried with either of graphical or text mode. Till then fine. After selecting the language etc., installation method as localcdrom and click 'ok' the system says "No driver found" and giving options select driver, use a driver disk , back. If i selected 'use a driver disk' it is not going to next screen, but when option 'select driver' selected, it is asking for which device driver to load: 3ware storage controller(3w-xxxxx), adaptec aacraid and a few like that.

specs: intel core 2 duo, 3gb ram, 320gb hard disk (dell n series 1545 inspiron)

Which one should i select? to install rhel successfully. why do i get this error?

Unable to find any devices of the type needed for this installation type. Would you like to manually select your driver or use a driver disk?

Please help me out in this issue

Thanks in advance

You could try a hard disk install (using an external drive). Choose hard drive install from installation menu after putting all the isos to external usb hard drive. If your main hard disk is /dev/hda#, then the external one should be /dev/sda1; if main disk is /dev/sda#, then the external one should be /dev/sdb1 on selection menu. Here is a picture of how the menu should look on RHEL3 (you did mean version 3, right?).
