No Display with graphics card NVidia XFX 7300GT

I have a pc with NVidia 7300 GT by XFX graphics card installed...

When i installed Fedora Core 6...
the setup had everything right with graphics... but after the installation when i tried to load the OS....
The Display vanished and then nothing comes on the screen... till i restart...
So after the successful installation of Fedora core 6..
the system is not giving any display as soon as it starts loading the OS the display vanishes...

There is nothing wrong with the distro as i have installed it on my laptop and is working fine...

Please help...

ok, i apologize i misunderstood your idea of the "Display vanishes" i just thought you were not getting a GUI & login option...

not sure what to tell you about fixing that, sounds like a deeper problem than a mis-configured xorg file...

Lightbulb A Live CD Could Save You

I'd go to the Fedora website on another computer and download a Fedora
7 Live CD iso and and burn a CD. The F7 Lived CD has the option to upgrade an older instalation. This will get you the latest kernnel. Then download the latest NVidia Linux drivers http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_d...100.14.19.html dated September 18, 2007. Also from the NVidia site"NVIDIA now provides a utility to assist you with configuration of your X config file." At the site "X config" of that line is a link to that utility. It should keep you from missing any changes that need to be made to the X config file.
