No display after install on Dell 1750 Servers
 

I would like to get a GUI or at LEAST something to display on the server after installing any distro. (2 separate boxes so it's probably not a bad video card)
I believe the issue is with the video driver/card.
I can run an install and get all the way through it. After the machine reboots, the display indicates Analog not able to display resolution.
I can PuTTy in to the machine and have tried everything I've found on this and other forums to get the display back. I've tried installing many version of CentOS, Ubuntu, OpenSUSE, Debian....all install but none come back with video after the install.
Does anyone think it's machine specific or a specific 32 bit version of something that's not so particular about a server GUI? I've seen many similar questions posted and had an interesting time experimenting.
I really need to get Virtualbox installed and ideally need other team members to be able to access the box with a GUI that have no CLI experience.

sounds like the resolution needs to be reduced. if the installer gives you a choice, select 1024x768, 60Hz. or edit xorg.conf in the right way for your distro.
and you may be able to get a TUI by pressing ctrl+alt+f1 or f2

Have you tried the auto adjust on the monitor? Some monitors have it in the menu

No display tried multiple monitors.
 

Valid point I left out.
All settings on multiple monitors have been tried; auto adjust, reset
To factory defaults, etc.
As well as using front and rear monitor ports.

since you can putty into system can you run the command to see what graphics card you have

lspci gave me this:

OpenSUSE installation offered several resolutions during setup. I tried all of them. The install completes, the machine reboots, the monitor(s) fail. I can still SSH into the box.

Might be possible to run yast in command line to fix the video. I forget what fixed one of my issues but yast can also update your system. Sax2 I think was removed.

Looks like a pretty old system so you should only install x or some other low use window manager and not use gnome or kde.

If it were debian all you would need are the firmware-linux packages
