no control on network connection

I am running upgraded Ubuntu 9.10. As administrator i want to take out of common users panel the 'network connection' tool because anybody can too easily disconnect me from the web. How's the trick, please..?

I'm not sure it is possible or easy to remove it.. what I would do is make sure I (and any group or other person aloud to) had their permissions set correctly for the program in question.

Lettuce know..

Thanks Halvy. I'll check permissions. I've no groups configured as such, though. The fact that common users can unplug me on a whim makes a fool out of me...)))
Muchas gracias..!!
