No CD-ROM

I Need help loading a Laptop with no CD-Rom and a 700MB Hard drive with a linux OS. I have a PCMIA LAN device and the Distro's I have are Suse 7.0 and a instruction book Red Hat 6.

Any help would be helpful.

Make bootdisks from the boot dir of the first CD.
That should do the trick... Also, make sure you have a NFS server setup on another machine to serve the files from.

Other options are to find a floppy install distro (older versions sometimes are) or what I'm doing is trying out OpenBSD which installs from a floppy.

However, ideally if you can get that LAN PCMCIA up, the NFS or even an FTP install would be your best bet. The latest version of suse is available for free over FTP, check their site for more info (better than using a really old version that has lots of bugs )

Cool
