No able to access internet with Auditor

Greetings:

I am a new jack when it comes to Linux honestly, but I have a deep passion to learn it. I recently downloaded Auditor it boots up with no problem, only thing is I can not access the internet. Can some please assist me,

I have used telnet command, I connected the laptop directly to my modem and nothing, except a error message. Thank you all for any advise that you may share with me in the future.
