Nlinux boot problem


hi,
my problem is i am having windows in /dev/hda1 and i have installed linux in extended partion /dev/hda5. but when i reboot the machin after linux installation it runs only windows 98 and never shown boot loader. i have choosen lilo loader.
pls help me.

Where have you put Lilo? ... it should be in the MBR of hda so it controls the boot sequence.

hi , will u pls tell me how should i find where i have loaded the LILO and put it in MBR ?

Try booting from the CD, it should have an option to enter rescue mode. Run the command lilo -b /dev/hda. That will install lilo to the MBR of hda.
