I am suspecting an issue related to NIS user in my environment,what is happening is that after every weekend restart my init services are not getting started, which i am trying to start using NIS user "adm"
When i checked the /var/log/messages , i found the following errors :-
++++++++++++++++++++++++=
Nov 20 15:30:34 nvcyeo3 paymentapps: /bin/su user adm doesnt exist
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
but after reboot completes ,i am able to start the init services manually without any errors
In /etc/yp.conf i have following entries
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
domain accDomain server nvcyeoe1.ny.com
domain accDomain server nvcyeoe2.ny.com
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
ypwhich command return following output
+++++++++++++++++
nvcyeoe1.ny.com
+++++++++++++++++
ANy thoughts , what i am doing wrong .. please suggest
On my machine in "/etc/auto.home" there are 3 entries of mount points(NFS share) which all need to be mounted as & when requested.
But i am having a hard time in understanding that there are two other NFS shares which are also getting mounted
on my machine as & when browsed.
But i didnt understand where the configuration has been done for theses two directories as their enteries neither exist in "/etc/fstab" nor in "/etc/auto.home" & not in "/etc/auto.master"
Kindly help in understand this Automatic mounting & where else i can check the configuration of these two directories which doesnt exist in above mentioned files.
