You may execute another
Code:
ifconfig
to get an iformation if the network is working. Here an example of ifconfig when it works:
Code:
wlan0     Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr f0:7b:cb:2e:cd:3e
          inet addr:192.168.178.29  Bcast:192.168.178.255  Mask:255.255.255.0
          inet6 addr: fe80::f27b:cbff:fe2e:cd3e/64 Scope:Link
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:6326 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:5853 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:5827853 (5.5 MiB)  TX bytes:898361 (877.3 KiB)
this is from my wlan0, look at the second line, there's the IP, broadcast and mask.
