ni audio mixer can work
i have just managed run alsaconf(after much touble) and now, i can run no mixer, they all report me an error, alsamixer, wmmixer... As i have gentoo, i have emerged a lot of mixers. But non of them is willing to work. this is the error that is reported when i run alsaconf:
alsamixer: function snd_ctl_open failed for default: No such file or directory
andthis is when i run wmmixer:
Opening Mixer failed.
wmmixer error: Unable to open mixer device: No such file or directory
Can someone help me.
p.s. I havn't been able to emerge the alsadrivers, bit my alsaconf detected well the card and i have the modules in my kervel. My card has a VIA chipset.
