news client

hi there,

on my old fedora core one box i used to use evolution as my mail client and one of the fuctions of evolution that i really liked was that it used to connect up to a new server and give me daily open source news articals, i'm now at work and having to use a XP box with Ms outlook and i don't think that it offers the same function.

does anyone know if maybe there is a news client or something like that out there that will server me up my oepn source news articals?

Using thunderbird, you can subscribe to both RSS and standard newserver feeds, if that's what you're looking for.

You might try Outlook Express. I know you can subsribe to news servers with it. I'm not sure if XP offers that, I haven't really played with XP much.
