Newry LUG.

Is there a Linux User Group in the NEWRY area?

I have recently moved to NEWRY and would like help in installing LINUX onto a portable computer.

Hi and welcome to LQ!
You could try to post into LUG section. Maybe someone can help you.

Where is Newry? A quick Google search shows a Newry in Ireland and in Maine, and there may be more.

There are users here from all around the world, so it's better to be as specific as possible when asking for local help. I'm a long way from Ireland, so I can't be of much help other than suggesting doing a Google (or other search engine) search for linux user groups in Newry, Ireland. That returns mostly this thread. A more intensive search turned up the Irish LUG, which uses a Google group and can be found here:

Linux Lugcast is an online LUG based in the US. All are welcome to participate in real time via Mumble. They also publish each meeting via podcast; I listen to the podcast.
