Newly Installed Win XP hides my debian
Hi
I had created 4 partitions of my 320 gb harddrive. First 40 gb was reserved for xp , next 4 gb was swap partition , next 20 gb was linux main partition, and after it there is free space. I first installed linux on 3rd partition. I later installed win xp on the first partition. My laptop directly boots in xp . I don't see Debian listed even after pressing F8. How do I re-access debian linux ? |
windows is not that friendly with boot managers and doesn not recognise linux .
anyways , booting from a live cd of any distro and reinstalling grub from there (grub 1 or 2 ) would solve the situation . THIS is for grub 1 from a ubuntu live cd. |
thanks. I will try it.
