Newly imaged PC won't boot
 

I've got Fedora 11 installed on a new Dell Optiplex with mirrored disks. I created an image (the result is the same with either Clonezilla or Acronis) and restored it to a second PC with identical hardware, but that second PC won't boot. I get dropped to a shell and this message:

fsck.ext3 Operation not permitted while trying to open /dev/md126p1
You must have r/w access to the filesystem or be root.

I am root. It's the boot partition that it's having trouble with. Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Did you format the disks on the second machine to ext3 file system?

Im not an expert on this by no means but it looks like maybe file system check did not find an ext3 fs.

also is your bootloader working properly or does it go straight to the error msg after the bios init screen?is your partition scheme identicle to the first machines?

The imaging software takes care of formatting the partitions. fstab shows several ext4 partitions and a /boot partition that's ext3. The partition scheme is identical because the imaging software makes it that way when I restore an entire disk. The bootloader appears to me to be working fine.
