Newbie questions that have eluded me
I have a few obscure newbie questions that I'm hoping someone can answer or point me in the right direction.

1) I'm using Red Hat 9.0 and have it working great, I want to look for additional themes and icons. What is the GUI environment (default) of RH9 referred to as? I'm not using Kde or Gnome as far as I can tell, Kde default screen has the K in the lower left corner so I know I'm not using that. Just not sure what it is called. The GUI environment I'm talking about has the red hat fedora as the icon in the lower left corner.

2) Are there any sites similar to that would have a listing of applications/programs to try out that have a good written description with them or are rated by users.

3) Using Mozilla 1.2 as my newsgroup reader, is there a way to tell it to 'mark as read and delete' the newsgroup headers that I downloaded when I exit??

That's it for now but I'm sure more will pop up.

1) default is Gnome - if you click 'sessions'\on the log in screen you can change it to KDE. RH 8 + 9 have the theme 'Bluecurve' as default and so KDE and Gnome look identical. With a bit of work, you can make them different.

Thanks for the help, that answered two of my questions. It looks like I'll be busy tonight playing.

3) NewsReader.
4) Netscape / Mozilla.
5) Opera [Prop]
6) Sylpheed / Sylpheed-claws.
7) Pine. [NF]

10) tin.
11) slrn.
12) Xemacs.
