newbie question: How to change mouse cursor..

Hi. Ive just started using Red Hat Enterprise and I'm trying to learn how to customize my settings.. Is it possible to change my mouse cursor with a .cur file? I've searched and read in a previous thread something about this feature being available in KDE, and I'm not sure if KDE is somehow related to GNOME?

I'd really appreciate your help.

If I'm not mistaken .cur files are winblows files, I don't think they will work in that form. KDE is a different desktop to Gnome, I use KDE and I've never seen a .cur file. The best way to change your mouse cursor is (if you don't already have some installed) to download X11 Mouse Themes from here: http://www.gnome-look.org/ then install them.
